A powerful and effective holistic modality that stimulates reflex points on the ear using magnets, tacks and/or small seeds to heal associated areas of the body. Auricular or Ear Reflexology, also known as Auricular Therapy, is a system designed to treat the whole body by using energetic reflex points in the ear. The ear is closely connected the brain as it is highly innervated, and is also one of the first parts of the body to develop in utero. An ear reflexology treatment consists of a relaxing massage and simultaneous ear point stimulation followed by the placement of stick-on ear seeds that can be left in for up to ten days. Auricular therapy is used to treat numerous health conditions, detox the organs, reduce cravings and calm the nervous system. It's especially used in weight loss and to quit smoking. For smoking cessation and addiction recovery, the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association (NADA) protocol is used, which has been shown to reduce cravings, minimize symptoms of the withdrawal process, improve mood and deeply calm the nervous system. Conditions treated include insomnia, anxiety, depression, digestive and hormonal issues, skin problems, arthritis, allergies and pain relief. One ear is treated at a time with ear seeds which are changed and alternated at each subsequent appointment.
